Its good to be home!

I just got back from a week in Orlando for work. Its so nice to be home.

The Slizz was eagerly waiting for me and had quite a few things to say once I opened the front door. I really missed her!

This week looks to be pretty busy at work and then I'm going home to Portland for two days for Easter.

Anyway, I'm off to unpack, get organized and settle in for a relaxing evening with the Slizzy!

Pet Food Recall

This whole pet food thing has me really freaked out.

I cant believe they have determined that it was RAT POISON! Does that imply that this was intentional? That someone put the poison in the food with the hope that it would hurt or kill peoples pets?

The crazy thing is that Slizzy normally eats Iams cuts in gravy but for some reason I switched to Science Diet last October and bought enough food to last until now. That means I haven't bought any of the food made between the December and March dates included in the recall. However, I am still totally freaked out about feeding her tainted food. I check her every day for "signs" or "symptoms" and my heart beats double time if she sneezes or lays still for a bit too long.

If someone did try to poison the pets of America I hope they find the bastard and put him away for a long time. I feel just horrible for the people that have lost their pets because of this.

I dont know what I would do if something happened to my Slizzy!
